Curious
Mindful
Usable
Simple

These are my core design values. I thrive on solving big challenges, simplifying the complex and pushing boundaries.

My approach begins with discovery and curiosity, identifying framework gaps and ideating solutions with my partners. I’m committed to creating something we can all feel proud of, using collaboration and teamwork to turn ideas into reality. I believe in continuous learning and that even the smallest contributions can make a meaningful difference!

Before eBay, I've supported features helping health and wellness practitioners at SimplePractice, and designed for various small e-commerce businesses.

Want a rundown of my professional experience?

"Nikki is an extremely strong storyteller, with strong design process that has consistently helped frame problem spaces, highlight trends, and ultimately bring her partners along to address opportunity areas. If that's not enough—she's a pleasure to work with. Very receptive to feedback, willing to grow and roll her sleeves up, creative, and just a sweet person."

Eric Talkar, Product Design Manager

"Nikki played a pivotal role in the development of eBay’s simplified, native listing flows, a complex project that required both technical knowledge and strategic thinking. Her ability to explore a wide range of design concepts and then critically narrow in on the best direction, backed by clear and well-articulated research and reasoning, made her an invaluable team member."

John Defrance, Staff Product Designer

"She has this curiosity and growth mindset that allows her to absorb, adapt, and learn. She's a quick learner, always ready and willing to help out, and provided great feedback to all levels of product designers and product managers in the company. She's also very creative, analytical, and a very great collaborator! I truly appreciated her work!"

Marvin Tabangay, Product Design Manager

"Thank you for the clean and beautiful design you created for our hack week project. Your design made my coding work much easier and more enjoyable. I hope we can work together again soon."

Alan Luo, Engineer

"In just 1 day, you delivered simple, user-friendly designs to solve a complicated problem, and iterated and evolved the designs to perfection. Thank you for being an integral part of our team!"

Kevin Noorgard, Engineer

My path to design wasn’t traditional or linear. I studied Marine Biology and worked in marketing with a focus on video production. Along the way, I discovered I genuinely enjoyed designing my reports and share outs. Then one day, I stumbled upon a YouTube video about UX/UI design. I thought, 'Ha! Fascinating! This is perfect for me!' and threw myself into learning like a kid who just found their new favorite thing and the rest was history! But hey, all those years of scientific research and data analysis weren’t wasted—they still profoundly shape the way I solve and design today.

Outside of design, I keep myself busy with activities that help nourish my mind to be more creative such as watching films, doodling, playing video games, dancing, and making videos. I’m also a proud dog mom to Hiro, a husky, and Kairi, a corgi.
